The Irosin Eco-zoo-park is an environment-friendly dumpsite located at Barangay Patag, about 3.6 kilometers from the poblacion. The project was initiated during the term of former Mayor Lilia Gonzales (2001-2010), and is rehabilitated, improved and developed by the present administration of Mayor Alfredo Cielo, Jr. Today, it serves as a model for effective ecological waste disposal system for other local government units. Aside from a material recovery facility, it features a park with children’s playground and a mini zoo which houses different species of birds, a crocodile, boa constrictors, monkeys, wild boars and others. It has a dragon fruit garden, a nursery for fruit-bearing trees and hardwood, cottages, a tree house, a grotto, a multi-purpose building and an administration building. It also hosts the base station of the tramline that services barangay Cawayan. It may serve as a venue for public events and has already hosted activities that include concerts and the visit of Miss Earth candidates in 2016. Plans to expand its operations and services are also well under way. Comprising of 5.08 hectares, it is now planned to feature endemic flora and fauna as well as ATV rides along the rocky river routes of Rangas.
